Biting the Blogging Bullet...Welcome to my Blogdom!

It's New Year's Eve and my week long sabbatical has come to a screeching halt!  I hit the ground with both feet, and immediately started running...figuratively speaking, of course.  I haven't actually RAN in twenty years.  (Well there was that one time...we were burning off the field and the fire got away from us.  My then husband jumped the fence to try and stop it from hitting the woods, but his pants caught on the barbed wire.  He fell right next to the fire.  It didn't burn him, but it was so close that it singed his eyelashes!  This crippled woman physically ran trying to get to him.  It's amazing what adrenaline can do, lol.)  So, anyway.  I digress!   Yesterday I had no idea that today would consist of anything but laying around the house.  All that changed pretty quickly :)  I'm babysitting today.  Natalie has been happy to have company!  A lady from church asked me to keep her eight year old while she did some work with her husband.  She got here arou

Good Morning!  Woke up a little after four a.m. and I'm still awake.  Ugh! I hate it when I do that!  Especially since it was almost midnight when I went to sleep.  Anyway...as I was lying there trying to go back to sleep, my mind bounced around like one of those little rubber balls you get out of the quarter machines.  I prayed for a little while, mentally arranged my week, and thought about going to the early church service (honestly just so I could dress down since I really need new clothes that fit my more voluptuous (read, increasingly plumper) body).  I listened to Matthew 4 on my phone.  I thought about how much I need to do laundry today.  I checked Facebook!  I tried to go back to sleep, lol. As I tossed and turned, my mind shifted back and forth over all the things I want to accomplish this year.  I've been mentally working on what I need to do to prepare for what lies ahead.  I have a book to write.  I have artwork to get started on.  I have some ideas that my meta

Well hello!  Welcome to my blog.  Some of my friends have been encouraging me to write one for a couple of years.  So, why start now?  I am balanced on this proverbial cliff, ready to jump off into 2013.  I 've been looking back over 2012 and saw a few of the hills and valleys behind me , b ut for the most part, I couldn't see much of what had happened.  This blog is my way of remembering a year of my life.  Don't expect great reading material here, lol.  I ramble.  Alot!  I may ponder o ver what I've read in my Bible that day, talk about my my three awesome kids, my artwork, a photography job, or procrastinating cleaning my kitchen.  I can, however, promise you one thing.  I will always be real.   So, without further adieu... come on and join me as we leap off into 2013.  The adventure awaits us!  :D
